Cliffs in Otago, originally uploaded by Masivaan.
Taiaroa Head, Otago Peninsula.
A famous place for Albatross spotting. Of course, I didn’t see any. The bastards were hiding.
4 exposure HDR, combined and tonemapped with Photomatix Pro. All exposures were taken with a B&W ND110 filter, allowing longer exposures. The longest, 30 second exposure gave the sea a nice blurred look. Finding the correct white balance with the filter is tricky and I find the pictures always end up looking too warm and with red hues. Curves and sharpening in PS CS5.
Amazing shot! Beautiful color. Great composition.
